Cancer Survivorship: Biomarkers and Toxicity, Reducing Long Term Effects
Advances in treatments have led to more survivors living longer and fuller lives after a cancer diagnosis. However, cancer survivors often face physical, psychosocial, and financial challenges due to cancer, as well as the treatments. Moreover, some populations are at higher risk for severe and long-term effects. This session will focus on research to elucidate the clinical, molecular, and sociobiological contributions to cancer outcomes, and cancer inequities, with an emphasis on the long-term health of cancer survivors and the goal to reduce the burden of morbidity among cancer survivors.
