To Life!

Mara Ginsburg founded To Life! in 1998 in the Capital Region of New York, which serves 10+ counties by providing comprehensive education programs and support services relating to breast cancer and health and wellness, free of charge in nonclinical settings. A non-profit organization, To Life! has directly served over 25,000 people since 1998. To Life! provides education forums, 1-to-1 mentoring for newly diagnosed patients, breast self-examination training, health and wellness programs, and has boutiques where people can obtain breast prosthesis, mastectomy bras, hats, scarves, and wigs. All programs and services are free of charge and To Life! is a provider for products with many insurance companies.

As a breast cancer advocate, Ms. Ginsburg also serves on the NYS Cancer Advisory Council for the NYS Department of Health and is a consumer grant reviewer for the United States Department of Defense and the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas. She is also the immediate Past President of the Jewish National Fund (JNF)-USA of the Capital Region and serves for the JNF-USA in a National capacity as Vice-Chair of the Major Gifts Committee and on the Executive Board of the Women for Israel. Ms. Ginsburg is a retired partner from the Albany law firm of Hinman Straub, PC, where she had both a legal and legislative practice including areas relating to health care and Medicaid compliance, procurement, and technology. Prior to joining Hinman Straub, she served as Vice President of Government Affairs for AmeriChoice of New York and United Healthcare of New York where she led legislative and regulatory health policy for this Medicaid managed care company. She served for over 25 years in New York State Government as General Counsel and Deputy Director at various state agencies involved with technology, including broadband and cyber security. She also served as a New York State Assistant Attorney General.
